Welcome to Ladies of Living Hope

Hello ladies! We decided to set up a blog as a clearinghouse for all of our social interactions.

From having evening play dates so you and hubby can go out, to play dates at the park or over coffee so that you can get together with other moms, there are plenty of ways we could use some coordination of communication.

We’re planning to notify you when one of us is going to a children’s museum or a local event and would like to see you join them. We’re even planning to notify you if we find great deals somewhere in the area or online! From petting zoo trips to toy swaps, you’ll find a TON of ways to enjoy the opportunities our community offers. For this to work, you have to CONTRIBUTE to it. Anyone can comment. I'm limiting the ability to post a new item, however, to members of Living Hope. I’ll try to push this along to get it started. But for it to be effective, you need to jump in. Take advantage of what appeals to you, and contribute your own ideas and such. If you are heading over to the library for story time, LET US KNOW ... someone might want to join you. If you’re cleaning up, and notice a set of toys your kids don’t play with ... you don’t exactly want to get rid of them, but you’d love for someone else to enjoy them for a while, LET US KNOW.

Anything, everything, let us know. We’ve got lots of ideas to get us started, but you jump in and contribute any time. This is a great way for us to get closer, encourage one another, and just generally help each other out. We hope you’ll take advantage of it. You only get out of it what you put into it.

Hershey Park Fun Christmas Event

Here is the Hershey park Christmas event. Pretty cool to do rides in the cold. Kids love the indoor musical included in the ticket price to keep them warm between rides.  And you can take pictures with santa for a separate fee. This year, they are charging for a parking fee $7. Susan

Anyone up for a Larriland Trip?

Does anyone want to get some apples? If we were to go together, we could get the price break (I think we need to pick at least 20 lbs) if we combined our loads and split it (it could be a good Sunday morning snack, too--hint, hint).

onekingslane.com

This a great site that has all kinds of housewares. When you register, you get an instant $15 credit so you can score something for free ( I got a $7 bamboo salad server set for free-keep in mind that the S & H is 7.95 ). If anyone orders from here, please don't forget to say that I referred you (prestonkim@comcast.net). Thanks!

Hip2save.com rocks!

I discovered this great site a few months ago called hip2save.com. They have all kinds of freebies, contests, and ways to get the most out of using coupons. You should check it out if you're in to that kind of stuff!

$.03 notebooks at Target (from Yvonne)

Hi friends,

I was literally just at Target tonight and came home with 20 notebooks for a total of $.60 because they are $.03 each at the Target over on 103 in Ellicott City.  They still have a TON of them left if you want to pick some up.  I really should be better about having my kids use recycled paper to scribble on but to be honest, I don't remember and we really don't have that much paper laying around for them to use.  Not a bad deal for $.03 each.  It's the one subject, 70 pages and they only have wide rule left.

It's located by the Halloween section along with a bunch of other back to school clearance stuff.  I'm sure they have the same deal at Dobbin but I don't know if they have any left.

happy shopping!

Story Time

Another example of what you might do.

I'm heading to story time at the Miller branch of the library.  Starts at 10:30.  Hope to see you there!

$AVE HERE

This is a sample of what you might do.

I found corn at Giant for 15 cents an ear!
