Welcome to Ladies of Living Hope

Hello ladies! We decided to set up a blog as a clearinghouse for all of our social interactions.

From having evening play dates so you and hubby can go out, to play dates at the park or over coffee so that you can get together with other moms, there are plenty of ways we could use some coordination of communication.

We’re planning to notify you when one of us is going to a children’s museum or a local event and would like to see you join them. We’re even planning to notify you if we find great deals somewhere in the area or online! From petting zoo trips to toy swaps, you’ll find a TON of ways to enjoy the opportunities our community offers. For this to work, you have to CONTRIBUTE to it. Anyone can comment. I'm limiting the ability to post a new item, however, to members of Living Hope. I’ll try to push this along to get it started. But for it to be effective, you need to jump in. Take advantage of what appeals to you, and contribute your own ideas and such. If you are heading over to the library for story time, LET US KNOW ... someone might want to join you. If you’re cleaning up, and notice a set of toys your kids don’t play with ... you don’t exactly want to get rid of them, but you’d love for someone else to enjoy them for a while, LET US KNOW.

Anything, everything, let us know. We’ve got lots of ideas to get us started, but you jump in and contribute any time. This is a great way for us to get closer, encourage one another, and just generally help each other out. We hope you’ll take advantage of it. You only get out of it what you put into it.

VBS- Well Summer Camp for k-5 at Chapelgate---July 11-15

We are working with Chapelgate and their already established VBS program.  Although their VBS only gives formal classes for those kids in k-5, they do provide child care for those younger, if you are a volunteer.   This child care is really great and is linked to the VBS material, including the music, which is a favorite.  I may be running the music program again this year and I look forward to it.  Obviously, we need volunteers and attendees in the older grades.  Let me know if you are interested in helping out that week.  It is a great opportunity to touch the community and our church, as well as Chapelgate's.

Fire Pit, Songs, and Special Kid Craft Time- March 26 at 6pm

Come on out and join us in some fellowship.  We will be hanging out by a fire, singing some camp fire and worship songs, and the kids will even have a special craft this night.  So, if you plan to attend, RSVP to cheryl@livinghopepres.org or post a comment to this blog.  I will count you in.  I especially need to know which kids are attending.  If you do not regularly attend Living Hope, let me know the age of your child, so I can have the right materials for our surprise craft.  :)

See you there.  Cheryl

Here is the Hershey park Christmas event. Pretty cool to do rides in the cold. Kids love the indoor musical included in the ticket price to keep them warm between rides.  And you can take pictures with santa for a separate fee. This year, they are charging for a parking fee $7. Susan

Anyone up for a Larriland Trip?

Does anyone want to get some apples? If we were to go together, we could get the price break (I think we need to pick at least 20 lbs) if we combined our loads and split it (it could be a good Sunday morning snack, too--hint, hint).
